Fifteenth Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States

Information

From 7 to 10 December, 2021 the Fifteenth Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States were held. The Games are included into the Plan of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States approved by the Decision of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States from 15 September, 2020. The event was organized in an online format to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Fifteenth Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States were organized by the National Delphic Council of Russia with the support of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Council for Youth Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, in cooperation with the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation. The Delphic teams of the countries were formed by the state authorities of the Commonwealth countries, national Delphic organizations with the participation of observers of the International Delphic Committee.

The Games were held under the patronage of the International Delphic Committee.

The participants, jury members and organizers of the Games were addressed by the greetings  of the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States Beketzhan Zhumakhanov, the Secretary General – the Head of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States Council Secretariat Dmitriy Kobitskiy, the Chair of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Lilia Gumerova.

Representatives from 9 Commonwealth countries: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan – took part in the Anniversary Fifteenth Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States. The delegations of the countries include 729 people.

The competitions were held in 10 nominations: piano, violin, academical singing, solo folk singing, pop singing, folk dance, modern dance, circus art, folk instruments, wind instruments; all of them required the separation of participants into 2 or 3 age groups.

The jury consisted of 45 prominent artists, including People's and Honored Artists of the Commonwealth countries, professors and doctors of art history.

A total of 27 sets of awards were bestowed. According to the results of the competitions representatives of each of the countries became winners, prize-winners or holders of diplomas of the Delphic Games of the Commonwealth.

The Rutube video hosting has timed the retrospective screening of films about the Delphic Games that have taken place to date to the beginning of the Games. The retrospective was opened by a film about the First Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States that were held in 2002 in Bryansk (the Russian Federation).

The anniversary Commonwealth Games ended on December 10, 2021 by a Telegram Gala Concert, the program of which was composed according to the proposals of the delegations.

The Games were covered by media of interstate, federal and regional distribution as well as widely reflected in social media of the countries.
