Eleventh Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States

Information

The Eleventh Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States were held in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS Member States from October 30, 2015 «On the Plan of Activities dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the CIS».

The work on formation of structure of participants and the jury was carried out with all countries of the CIS Member States. Over 500 young artists from the CIS Member States aged from 10 to 25 years old and 61 jury members from 8 countries: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, — participated in the Commonwealth Games.

The Regulations on the Games were formulated according to the Conceptual Regulations on holding of the Delphic Games and the Youth Delphic Games, approved on February 6, 2004 at the Second Session of the International Delphic Committee.

The contest and festival program of the Games consisted of 17 nominations of folk, classical and contemporary arts: piano, violin, fine arts, bayan/accordion, saxophone, academical singing, solo folk singing, pop singing, jazz, folk dance, modern dance, photography, fashion design, upbringing art, circus, folk instruments and wind instruments. Competitions were held in the online format according to age groups of each nomination. A total of 36 sets of awards were bestowed during the Games. The greatest number of prizes was won by representatives of national Delphic teams of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus.

The final intramural stage of the Games took place in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg from November 28 to December 3, 2016, within the framework of which the international conference was held, laureates of the Games took part in the First Open Paradelphic Games of Russia, the V St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum and the IV St. Petersburg International Youth Forum.
