On November 21-25, 2013 the Ninth National Youth Delphic Games were held in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan. More than 600 artists, winners of the regional qualifying rounds from 14 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as Astana city and Almaty city, participated in the Games. The annual Delphic Games of the Republic of Kazakhstan contribute to raise the cultural level of the country, allow covering the maximum number of talented participants. The Games were organized and held by the National Delphic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Games were held under the auspices of the International Delphic Committee. The official opening ceremony of the Games was held on November 22, 2013 at the Kazakh State Circus. The colorful theatrical performance that tells the history of the origin and development of the Delphic Games in the Republic of Kazakhstan were presented to the public. Competition and festival program of the Games included the competitions in 16 nominations of folk, classical and modern art: piano, academic singing, violin, television journalism, saxophone, pop singing, modern dance, folk dance, folk singing, bajan/accordion, photography, folk instruments, folk arts and crafts, fine arts, DJ, web design. By the end of the Games, the team of Almaty took the first place, the second - the Akmola region, the third – Astana city. At the same time, the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan was invited to participate in the First Open Youth European Delphic Games, which will be held on May 2-8, 2014 in the Russian Federation, Volgograd city, within the framework of the cultural project "Delphic Volgograd - 2014".
