November 21, 2014 it has been 15 years since the First Delphic competitions were held in the Russian Federation that formed the basis for a new format of the modern Delphic Games. First Russian Youth Delphic Games were held from 17 to 21 of November, 1999 in the Saratov region (Saratov). Before that the last Delphic Festival was held in 1930 in Greece. Work on revival of the Delphic Games were carried out in the Soviet Union by youth organizations and associations in the 70-s of XXth century.
