From 22 to 26 of November, 2024 the Eighteenth Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States were held in Syktyvkar, the Russian Federation. The event took place within the framework of the Third Open Youth Arctic Delphic Games in which more than 600 young talents aged between 10 to 25 and 36 jury members from 13 countries participated. Representatives of Commonwealth countries – the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan – took part in the Games.
The Commonwealth Games were held in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States from May 29, 2020 on the Main activities of cooperation between the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of culture for 2021-2025 and the Procedure for holding the Eighteenth Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States, approved by the Order of the International Delphic Committee from September 10, 2024 No. 7/024. The organizational scheme of the event was discussed during the International Conference held on October 4, 2024 (the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek).
The delegations of the countries that arrived to the Games took part in the official opening ceremony, competitions in 7 nominations of folk, classical and contemporary arts, the international conference, the official closing ceremony and the gala concert. Representatives of 8 countries won awards in various nominations and age groups of the Games.
All the main events of the Games were broadcast live at the Delphic.TV platform, the RUTUBE video hosting service and the Odnoklassniki social network. The official ceremonies were shown on the Yurgan TV channel, the Kultura.RF, Match TV, IZ.RU and Orpheus media portals, as well as on the Delphic Games social media accounts at VKontakte and Telegram. Around the clock, the Delfik.TV 1 channel showed all the brightest creative moments of the Games live and on record.
